About Us

The Rankin County Baptist Association (RCBA) is a fellowship of Southern Baptist churches in Rankin County, Mississippi, voluntarily cooperating to strengthen local churches, reach their communities with the gospel, and fulfill the Great Commission. The Association serves as a ministry partner, resource center, and support network for pastors, church leaders, and congregations across the county.

Doing Together What No One Church Could Or Should Do Alone.

Our Mission and Purpose

RCBA exists to:
• Engage the community with the gospel,
• Edify pastors and church leaders through encouragement and training, and
• Encourage churches as they carry out their ministries.

Our mission reflects the historic Baptist principle of cooperative ministry—autonomous churches voluntarily working together for missions, evangelism, leadership development, and compassionate outreach.

Our Principles

RCBA functions according to traditional Southern Baptist principles:
• Autonomy of the local church
• Voluntary cooperation
• Congregational governance
• The authority of Scripture
• Commitment to the Great Commission
• Believer’s baptism by immersion
• Priesthood of all believers

The Association does not govern its churches; rather, it exists to serve, strengthen, and connect them.

Vision of Cooperation

The work of the Association reflects the conviction that churches can accomplish more together than they can individually.

Through cooperative ministry, member churches participate in:
• Local missions
• Statewide ministries
• Church planting efforts
• International missions through the Southern Baptist Convention
• Leadership development
• Compassionate ministry to those in need
